Disney Animated Shorts

Clarabelle Cow has been in 18 shorts, with the earliest one being Plane Crazy. Her career basically started out as just a gag to be used by Ub Iwerks for Udder gags, which Walt wasn't fond of but was told that was what the audience found funny. After Ub Iwerks left, Walt did use the udder jokes in a couple more shorts but eventually toned it down due to pressure of several censorship boards. So after that Clarabelle always wore a modest skirt.
